Founded in 1993 by Annemarie and Michael Greipel, the community’s hearts broke when time for retirement arrived and the doors closed. There were so many requests for the family’s recipes, Nina Greipel, daughter of the founders, wrote a family cookbook where the Gasthaus spirit has been kept alive. Menu: Flammkuchen ~ German Pizza with bacon, onions, and creme fraiche ~ an Alsatian specialty, great as a snack or a light meal ● Jäger Schnitzel ~ tender, breaded pork loin with a mushroom, onion, and bacon sauce.
