Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with us! Karen will demonstrate how to fold tamales, avoid common mistakes, make masa from scratch, including traditional and vegetarian, and reheating/storage tips. After this, you will make your own tamales with freshly made masa, steam them, and enjoy a feast. Menu: Masa Harina ~ masa whipped with lard or vegetable shortening and seasoned ● Two Fillings ~ Red Chile Pork and Salsa Verde Chicken ● Mexican White Rice ~ tomato‑sauté base ● Refried Pinto Beans (or black beans for vegetarian option) ● Fresh Salsa Verde.
*Two glasses of wine are included in the price of each seat. No BYOB.
