Beat the summer heat with homemade frozen treats! In this sweet and nostalgic class, we'll start by answering what is the difference between ice cream versus gelato? Sherbet or sorbet? You'll learn the basics of rich custards for creamy ice cream and gelato, along with smooth, flavorful sherbets, or sorbets without icy grit. Once we've mastered the frozen favorites, we'll turn them into irresistible ice cream sandwiches and explore simple homemade cones and bowls. No frozen dessert is complete without toppings, so we'll finish with easy favorites like hot fudge sauce, syrupy, sweet-n-salty mixed nuts, and candied fruits. This class is full of fun techniques and summer flavors perfect for anyone ready to upgrade dessert season!
